Individual sessions are one-on-one to focus on you and issues that are causing you distress. These sessions may range from 30* to 60 minutes, depending on the issue at hand.
Most sessions last for 45 to 50 minutes, but some prefer to have the full hour.
*Most 30 minute sessions are for health focused appointments.
On occasion, I may provide group therapy to multiple people who are dealing with the same issues and would gain support from meeting others going through a similar situation.
Group size would range between 4 - 8 participants and sessions would last from 75 to 90 minutes.
I am also a registered health psychologist. What this means is that I have specialized training in modalities to help with certain health conditions such as insomnia, smoking cessation, chronic health conditions, and others. We may select a modality to focus only on the health issues at hand, which would entail specific protocols, usually behavioral modifications, to work with these issues. This also means that there would be less focus on general therapy type concerns.
